Ba ba black sheep

Pure handwoven and handspun cotton tangail with threadwork inspired by Habaspuri design. A minuscule population of thirty weaver families from Kalahandi district are responsible for creating the famed Habaspuri sarees.They are painstakingly created by the Khondha weavers of Odisha who are trying to keep alive the tradition of the Habaspuri sarees even today. The weave is filled with motifs and patterns that are widely influenced by the region. An elaborate extra warp design in the pallu(using local motifs like temple, fish, flowers etc) and extra warp temple motif in the border. This saree brings you a contemporary fusion of Habaspuri design used in pure bengal handloom tangail which is both traditional and classy.
