Pure handwoven and handspun cotton with Jamdani weave inspired by Bhujodi design. Bhujodi is a centuries old village in Kutch now transformed into one of Gujarat’s eminent textile center. Entwined and hand woven with the eternal bond of ancient traditions and colourful threads, Bhujodi is home of the Vankars or Taanti’s of Kutch. The highlight of the Bhujodi weave is its treasury of fine motifs that bear names such as dholki, hathi, vakhiyo, etc. Created with the extra-weft technique, these designs represent the cultural mores of the weave’s wearer community. This saree brings you a contemporary fusion of Bhujodi art used in pure Bengal tangail cotton.
